Located steps from Château Frontenac and the Boardwalk - easy to reach the Old City, Plaines d'Abraham and Cirque du Soleil on foot. Cozy, well-appointed room in 180-year-old building. Great water pressure in the shower (I'm not sure you'd even need to use soap - it's like a pressure-washer!)
The front door was so hard to push open that we thought we were locked out one evening (the front desk staff came to rescue us when we pounded on the door) Also, our room (17) was on the third floor adjacent to the stairs - so it was very noisy as there are no elevators and everyone uses the stairs.

Location, price and rooms were clean
When checking out we were told (and only then) that the complimentery breakfast was only if you paid for your stay with cash but would be charged if we paid by credit card. Who pays for a hotel by cash these days and it should have been told or published up front.. Even then two days they ran out of food at breakfast (continental) even though they were book completley and yet they did not plan on enough food for the number of guest, several others could not get breakfast either. Paid for parking and there were not enough parking spaces and other gust took the space that was assigned, some had to find alturnative parking, not to convient. Front desk help was awful. Stay here before but not again.

The location could not have been better for exploring Old Quebec. The european style of this simple small hotel was comfortable. Our room was modest, but did have a view of the river which was nice. I would recommend booking one of the rooms with a balcony if you can.

Decent value for the location.
Very bare bones. No air conditioning in the room which was problematic because it was quite hot. The wireless internet was not particularly reliable.

The room was well-lit with a very clean bed and a pretty decently sized bathroom. I was happy to see there was a bathtub 🛁.

Extremely well located. We saw the Saint-Lawrence river from the window and our neighbours were the United States of America consulate. It's right between the Frontenac castle and the Abraham plaines, just beside the fortress.
It was a bit expensive, but i guess you can expect that on the 23st of june (St-Jean-Baptiste holiday).

Really enjoyed this place, it was quirky. The staff members were all efficient and helpful. My room with a balcony was well priced and large. The team provided an excellent service. Besides, I parked outside.
